The ASR Outdoor Folding Long Blade Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath is a very unique bowie knife, originally used at the turn of the century as a hunting knife for exotic game as well as fox and wild boar along the country side. Preferred by hunters who needed the long blade of a bowie knife with the portability of a pocket knife; being able to easily move about without a big knife slowing them down.
This folding knife is constructed from high grade steel and comes with a fully sharpened blade and protective leather sheath. When opened the knife is 13 inches in total length, and requires two hands to open as the blade is much longer than its handle while it extends out further than the handle, The blade itself is fixed in place by a strong steel spring latch, when depressed, the blade folds into the the handle, leaving approximately 6 inches of open blade exposed. The thick leather sheath is a must for safe carry and features a attachment loop so it can easily be adorned to a belt. The handle of the blade features a smooth wood grain that feels nice in the hand.
This is a very unique and cool knife, something that you do not see often, an idea addition to any knife collection. An excellent outdoorsman gift for the person that has it all; because surely they do not have this in their collection.
